YES! Great interview. Adam Lambert did more for LGBT in 5 minutes on tv in 2009 than anyone else in entertainment history, while b!tchslapping Aaron Hicklin in the process after he attempted to slander and humiliate Lambert. It was the most significant event in his life, a bar mitzvah of sorts, that propelled him into being a strong adult. BONUS, the album is great. It's on target to be #1 on Billboard if Adele doesn't pass him. He'll be the first openly gay person to achieve that feat in 60 years. WERQ!

This is just an excellent interview - it addresses Adam's thoughts in a new way and really lets us see who he is. He deserves this success.

Fantastic interview!!! I'm loving Adam's new album - both the dancey element and the ballads, but I also really commend him on his responses to your questions about being a role model and navigating celebrity as a gay man, while also seeking mainstream success.

Too often, it seems like we prefer our out gay celebs to be so neutral on sexuality they come across as two dimensional pr creations. I take pride in Adam's decisions to live his life on his own terms, mistakes and triumphs equally public. He encourages other 'weird kids' to take control and find a place where they can thrive-not wait to be rescued or for approval. That, along with his own openness & comfort with who he is make Adam a great role model in my eyes. And responding patiently to all those gay-curious questions is to me a significant contribution to this movement. If you think that's overstating it, think of prominent young gays (still early/mid career) who have come out publicly (or are in a glass closet) but avoid press about 'personal' issues. While I do respect that choice, I believe it perpetuates the idea that there is something about being gay that's not quite okay. Adam responds to sensational questions with a sort of casual, practical tone that sends the message he has no anxiety about his identity or its impact on his career. I see this as an invaluable contribution to shaping both public perceptions and those of gay kids who are looking for clues to see where they fit into current society. No Trespassing, my ass - Go, Adam!!
