The Friday night, Sept. 14 event takes place at the Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g) in Downtown Dallas.
“This year’s Red Party line-up is absolutely phenomenal with pop-sensation Alexis Jordan singing her #1 dance hits, ‘Happiness’ and ‘Good Girl,’” Red Party co-founder and president Jared Pearce said.
He called former Dallas resident Craig’s reputation “world renowned.”
Jordan rose to fame through her appearance on the first season of America’s Got Talent and then was picked up by Stargate and rapper Jay-Z and signed to their joint label, StarRoc. Jordan’s debut single, “Happiness,” reached No. 1 in the Netherlands and Norway, became a top-three hit in the U.K. and rose to the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot Dance chart in the U.S. Her sophomore single, “Good Girl,” became her second song to become a Billboard Dance Club chart topper.
Craig has headlined major dance events including the 2009 NYC Dance on the Pier, Ascension (Fire Island Pines) and events throughout the world, including New Orleans, Sydney and Madrid.
Because of sponsorships by ilume and Dish Restaurant, all money from ticket sales will go directly to Legacy.
“I cannot think of any other event over the weekend where guests will be able to experience such amazing entertainment, and know that the entire cost of their ticket goes directly to support the work of a critical organization such as Legacy,” Pearce said.
He said that this comes at a critical time for Legacy, which is facing its first budget deficit in a decade due to increased services, mostly attributed to taking walk-ins. The number of clients the agency sees has skyrocketed, Legacy Executive Director Melissa Grove said.
“We are so thankful for the work of the Red Party Foundation, its board, sponsors and numerous volunteers,” Grove said. “This is a critical year for us, and we encourage everyone to go out to buy tickets to what is not only one of the most exciting events of the year, but also a great opportunity for Legacy to make up the deficit caused by the demand for services through our walk in clinic.”
Tickets are available online here.
“The Red Party is sure to be one of the highlights of Pride weekend, and an event we don’t want people to miss,” Pearce said.
