In other news out of Austin, two gay softball players say they were the victims of an anti-gay hate crime Friday night, according to KXAN-TV. The men, Matt Morgan and Emmanuel Winston, said they were wearing their softball jerseys when a group of men yelling anti-gay slurs attacked them near Austin City Hall. The victims apparently fought back and have filed a report with the Austin Police Department. They were both able to play in their game Sunday, and Morgan hit a home run. Watch KXAN’s report above.
