I am so sorry to hear about brother's jake's son, but I know that if this
is true or false, God will deal with him for what he has done or may not
have done also.
The holy bible teaches that, what so ever a man or a woman sow, that shall
he or she shall reap.
We as people needs to learn from the holy scriptures, how Jesus Christ
handle the troubles and problems concerning peoples, animials and many
other things in this life.
He told the ones that was not living according to God rightousness to
repent and to turn from their wicke ways.
He told the one that was right with him
to show love and forgiveness to one anothers.
He told the ones that founded a fault, to get the beam out of your eyes
before you try to get the mote out of some one else eyes. We must follow
the ways of Jesus Christ and not the ways of man, we must learn not to do
wrong and we have to correct the things in our lifes that is not pleaseing
to God.
We as peoples must learn to obey God in all of our ways and to fear him.
The devil want peoples to find wrong things in our lifes, so we as peoples
must and should make sure that what other peoples say, wrong about us is
not true.
If the things they say are true, repent and do not do those things again or
worster things will come upon us.
Anyone can find a fault and hold it again someone or thing, but to show
love, forgiveness and help that person back to doing right again, if they
will let you do so, is a true peace maker.
Jesus want us to have no respect of a person, we must follow how he does
things, some people don't want to be right and always want other to fall
and don't forgive people or things.
God sees everything and everyone and he will set things in order believe it
or not, it is your choice.
We all needs to get right and stay right with God everyday that we live.
Let us Live for Jesus, while we have this chance.

The son of T.D. Jakes — the Dallas megachurch pastor who’s called homosexuality a “brokenness” and declared that he would never hire a sexually active gay person — was arrested in a gay sex sting in Kiest Park in January, according to Dallas police reports.
Jermaine Donnell Jakes, 29, faces a charge of indecent exposure after allegedly exposing himself in front of two undercover vice detectives shortly after 10 p.m. on Jan. 3. Senior Cpl. Janice Crowther, a DPD spokeswoman, confirmed Thursday, Feb. 12 that the detectives were both male.
According to an arrest affidavit, the detectives were conducting an investigation into citizen complaints of sexual activity when they observed Jakes and several other unknown males park their vehicles in the lot east of the park at 2106 W. Kiest Blvd.
The detectives followed Jakes into a wooded area, where he approached them with his penis exposed through his unzipped pants, the affidavit states. Jakes masturbated for several seconds while making eye contact with one of the detectives.
Jakes made no attempt to conceal his penis despite people walking and jogging on a trail nearby, the affidavit states. According to court records, Jermaine Jakes listed his place of employment as T.D. Jakes Ministries. Jakes was released at the scene after being detained.
T.D. Jakes is the founder of the Potters House, a 30,000-member church in South Dallas. A vocal opponent of same-sex marriage, he’s been criticized by HIV/AIDS activists for undermining prevention of the disease by stigmatizing homosexuality and drug use.
On same-sex marriage, Jakes once told USA Today: “To date, I have not seen scriptural authority that allows me to stand on behalf of God and say I now pronounce you husband and husband, and wife and wife. This is an issue the government is undecided about. The Bible is not.”
Jermaine Jakes’ attorney, Faith Johnson, issued a written statement this week.
“We are aware of potential allegations involving Jermaine Jakes and are undertaking our own investigation of these allegations at this time,” the statement said. “Given an apparent government investigation, we have no further comment at this time.”

Dear Dallas Voice...I thought that you were going to monitor the
comments...did you not notice the comment from Dylan...do you not find it

I regret that Bishop Jakes and his family now face this kind of unwanted publicity. I am not surprised that this family remains the target of unfavorable media publicity and a variety of other verbal assaults against their person and prophecy. Our world is torn, tossed, and driven by so much hatred, pain and misery. Whether or not the Bishop's son is guilty of any aspect or every aspect of the charge deeply saddens those of us who highly regard the tremendous Kingdom building work of the Bishop and his family. I agree with the Jakes sowing seeds of bigotry, intolerance, and hatred.
Anyone to have said they would never hire a sexually active gay person was
surely going to catch it at some point.
Bet he would be up in arms if someone said that about Christians...or blacks.

I just hope that people don't that this incident is a reflection of T.D

T.D. Jakes looks like a big freak anyway and the apple doesn't fall far
from the tree. These churches are built on lies and just like MLK said no
lie can live forever. My only question is why he had to go cruising in a
park. Wouldn't the gay boys in the choir do? I'm sure there are lots of big
queens up in there! The sooner black folks get out of these churches the

Why is it that the most outspoken opponents of homosexuality often turn out
to be the most vulnerable? This isn't the first time. What are the
chances that God has heard the prayers of the righteous and revealed the
hypocrisy of the unrighteous? If nothing happens by chance, God must have
been behind this revelation.

Sorry to hear that the young man was arrested.
Sorry to hear he and his family are so against people who are gay. This will be doubly painful for them. I hope they unlike my uncle who refused to acknowledge his wonderful son, who happened to be gay, and we all knew it but the father, will take care of their son, accept him, and find strength in that acceptance.
If Jesus was so accepting of Mary M. then he would do the same for the ministers son. Enough of the hatred and sadness. The son shouldn't be forced to hide in a park in the dark of night. If he was open and honest, maybe he would find a partner in the light of day, someone the family embraces.

Hatred and bigotry are interesting word choices 2 describe a Bishop in the
Lord's church. Saying that something is a sin is NOT hateful or
bigotry...if that were the case then God our Father would fit those
descriptions. Bishop Jakes merely says what the Bibe says- read leviticus
15, Romans, 1st Corinthians...its filled with what is sin...and
homosexuality is just 1 on the list. If ppl r going 2 get upset please get
upset with God...He is the author- He is the law giver- getting angry @ Him
will not change His stance on sin and I really want gay pepole 2 understand
that God NEVER accepts sin- HE FORGIVES it and 1nce He FORGIVES just as He
told Mary Magdeline He tells us go and sin no more! We are commanded 2 live
a life that is holy and acceptable unto God. Without Holiness NO MAN will
see the Lord! God ALWAYS loves the person (sinner) AND He always detests
the sin of the person. Never take God's call to salvation 2 mean that we
can do whatever we want. There is a standard that we must follow. That
standard was set forth in His Word and no matter how society changes God
NEVER changes His stance on sin. His word is the same yesterday 2day and
4ever more. So attacking God's pastors and ministers isn't going 2 change
the fact that HE WILL NEVER ACCEPT SIN- sin will not separate us from His
Love but His Love DOES NOT WINK @ SIN- so God loves all homosexuals,

I have never heard such ignorance from people who are so far away from God.
I feel sorry for you because seperation from God is death. Frankly, it is a
sign of arrogance to suggest that somehow God made a mistake when he
created you in the womb as a man or woman .... and you turn around and say,
"no, I am something different than what God created me". God says in His
Word that man's wisdom is foolishness in His eyes. So many are puffed up in
their own eyes and think they know the truth and ignore the truth of their
creator -- Almighty God. Sin is at work in the hearts of man and many are
turning away from God to follow their own lusts of the flesh. This is
prophetic in the word of God and is a sign we are living in the last days.
Don't insult God by following the lust of the flesh --- but humble yourself
before the mighty hand of God and repent of your sins and you will find
eternal life and not permanent seperation from God.

It's funny how people seek every opportunity to justify their wrong doings!
Have you not heard that those that must live righteously shall suffer
persecution. What Bro Jamine did was an assertion of God's word that the
devil came but to steal,kill and destroy, little surpriseing that Jakes jnr
act has drawn so much response of thanks to the devil from the devil's
camp, but the truth is that this is a verification of Bishop's faithfulness
to our lord's work in his hand, be strong bishop, it is written the dragon
shall not prevail, no matter what the devil does the truth will stand, do
not be distracted, be focus and like you have always taught this is a

I came back to read my post from yesterday and I want to clarify something:
my comment was not meant to tear down Bishop Jakes or his son. I pray that
his son finds deliverance. I pray that Bishop Jakes continues to do exactly
what he is doing and that is PREACHING THE UNADULTERATED WORD OF GOD. I
love Bishop Jakes and have followed his ministry since my late teen years
(for over 10 yrs now). The enemy is out to embarass and discredit the men
and women of God and when he can not get through them he comes through
something or someone near and dear to them...what better way than to entice
and entrap the Bishop's son? well the devil is a liar and God is able to do
all things...there is no failure in God and I believe that young man will
find deliverance. I believe that everything happens for a reason and whom
God loves he chastises and unfortunately he was pubilcly exposed but God
can and will turn this around for the good and the Jakes family will be
fine. Bishop Jakes' son will be fine...if he wants deliverance he will
definitely get it!!!

Bishop is not responsible for his son's sins. Every man must give an
account according to his own deeds. Bishop Jakes is an outstanding
minister of God, and God has blessed his family and ministry. The prayers
for Bishop Jakes have gone out, and God can deliver his son. I love TD
Jakes ministries, and I still support what he has done in the community.

had to be brought to light. I don't attend Potter's House or know him as
others here do but my heart goes out to each of you and the family. I'm
just very sad because that is the way we should react when someone is
caught in this type of sin. And it is sin. If you don't agree, you don't
know what the Bible says about it. But I agree that Bishop Jakes is not
responsible for his son. He's preached the truth and now they must show
love, and I am confident they are. I believe this young man had
opportunities to seek help and to avoid this experience, but God will not
strive with us forever. It out to come out by the Spirit because he was
employed in Bishop's Ministry. God doesn't allow sin among church leaders.

We don't all struggle with the same thing as this young brother, but we all have our "crosses" to bare. Let us pray for him that if he is in fact in crisis he be delivered and if not he be vindicated.
As for Bishop... he clearly preaches the word so I'm sure he holds his kids to the same standard he holds everyone else to. As a man of GOD Having kids myself, I know what it is like to have them go astray or even to do something that brings accusation or reproach on you. However we cannot hold Bishop responsable for the mistakes of his children. Especially those that have come of age.

I DON'T SEE WHAT ALL THE HYPE IS ABOUT. I have so many homosexuals in my
family that it sickens me. But know one cares unless it's someone famous.
His son violated the laws of the land and the police are handling it, the
laws of God were broken and our heavenly father will judge him when his
time here is done. The same way he will judge all of us. This incident

This isn't a permanent situation and I'm sure Bishop Jakes will treat it as
such. Either this young man will stand corrected or he will be further
drawn into whatever traps are layed out for him. Those who know that
prayer changes situations (which may be good or bad in OUR

I will pray for you Bishop, for you are a man well pleased in the eyes of
God, I too have a grandson, whose mother died of cancer when he was 14, he
was molested at a young age, and because of that he is confused sexually, I
am a Christian and I know That My God disapproves of Homosexuality, enough
to destroy two major cities Sodom and Gormorra. God created men and women
to become one and to reproduce, I am sad because I don't see that I will

like bro, jakes i'm a soldier in GOD'S ARMY, i've struggled with broken
relationships, bad family ties,drug addictin you name it., through it all i
love the LORD.recently my 30 year old daughter who went through it all as a
child perservered through high school college and graduated law school and
she is a GOD FEARING CHRISTIAN WOMAN suffered a brain anerysm and was found
in her office,clinging on to life and the devil wanting her life THE LORD

As a baby christian, Bishop TD Jakes has been my mentor in my personal walk
with GOD and from all his teachings. I have learned a major lesson i.e. The
Bible is the unbending truth and he never flinches from sending that
message loud and clear. The enemy has used the weakest chink (Jermaine) in
the Bishop's GODly armour to attempt to discredit him, and all those
naysayers are the tools of the devil, to complete the action. However, The
Bishop has said in his statement that his family is showing their child the
same love that they did before and offering him the same assistance that
they give other family members in their time of need, i don't know what you
people expect again from this mighty man of GOD, Jermaine is his own man
and has made his own decisions, only he is responsible for his salvation.
