The American Business Women’s Association has selected Lorie Burch as one of its top 10 businesswomen of 2010.

Burch, a Dallas attorney, is a North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce board member and Human Rights Campaign steering committee member.

Founded in 1949, ABWA has more than half a million members and has been giving the award since 1956.

At 32, Burch is one of the youngest members to receive the honor. Last year the GLBT Chamber also recognized her as businessperson of the year.

The award was given at the ABWA’s national meeting in Kansas City, Mo., in September. Her practice focuses on estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and probate.

Kudos to Lorie! ABWA is a very large, national, mainstream organization and recognizing Lorie for her career accomplishments and leadership in our LGBT community makes it an even bigger achievement! Thanks for printing it!
