LITTLE ROCK The Arkansas House of Representatives recessed Tuesday, April 3, until May 1, when it will return to tidy up any unfinished business.
A proposal to ban gay people from fostering or adopting children was among items left unresolved by lawmakers when they ended the session on its 86th day.
The proposal passed the Senate but failed twice before a House committee. Supporters of the ban now say they're focusing on a potential petition drive to put the ban on the 2008 ballot.
