Haggard was born in Webb City, Missouri, on Oct. 22, 1959, and grew up in Oklahoma.
He was a noted hair stylist and cosmetic consultant, working for many years with Ulta and with JC Penney. He was also regional product educator with Sebastion Product and was a freelance artist who worked in several media and textures.
Haggard was preceded in death by his parents, Loran E. Haggard and Bessie D. Haggard. He is survived by his partner, Art Jackson; his sister, Dora Lynn Hill and husband Martin Hill of Guthrie, Okla.; brother, Leonard Dale Haggard and wife Debbie Haggard of Guthrie, Okla.; his mother-in-law, Betty Richardson Jackson of Texarkana, Ark.; brother-in-law, Greg Donelson of Dallas; sisters-in-law, Lisa Jackson of Austin and Frances White of Texarkana, Texas; nieces, Stephanie Hill, Amy Hill and Jessica Haggard, all of Guthrie, Okla., and Latoria Fort of Austin; nephews, Christopher Haggard of Guthrie, Okla., and Tommy White of Texarkana, Texas; great-nieces and nephews, Austin, Caitlyn, Gracie, Makayla and Ryleigh; and a host of other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. at White Rock Community Church, 9353 Garland Road in Dallas.
Officials with the United Court of the Lone Star Empire have announced the recent deaths of two members, both of whom were past monarchs of the charitable organization.:
