Carlos Ruben "Charlie" Rivera, 43, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, at a Plano hospital.

He was born Sept. 5, 1964, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Rivera was a boricua, strong willed with a good heart. He was a perfectionist, whether cooking, building or gardening.

Rivera loved salsa music and enjoyed helping his friends.

Rivera is survived by his eleven brothers and sisters, Benedicta, Victoria, Eugenio, Jesus, Herminia, Rosa, Ramon, Carmen, Maria, Hilda and Elvira Rivera Acevedo; and friends, Lee, Pedro, Josh, Michael, Jay and Gao.
