Cantoni goes doggie style with ‘yappy hour’ and Posh Paws gala
Posh Paws was inspired by designer Eero Aarnio’s polyethylene puppy.

Contemporary home furnishings boutique Cantoni is helping design better lives for furry quadrupeds. This month, they started “yappy hour,” a Saturday afternoon pets-welcome whingding where your best friend can sample doggie pastries and while you get to lap up the vino.

On Thursday, Cantoni is having their Posh Paws gala, a doggie pageant and auction where celebrities put their original stamp on designer Eero Aarnio’s stylized polyethylene puppy sculpture, above.

Fashion designer Nicole Miller, footballer Terrell Owens, FOX news anchor Baron James and l5 others re-embellish the Aarnio pup to help raise money for Operation Kindness.

‘ANTIQUES ROADSHOW’ HEADS TO BIG D

Don’t even bother crawling up in your attic looking for some quirky heirloom that’s been dusted with lemon fresh Pledge for 40 years.

More than 26,000 requests for tickets were sent for the “Antiques Roadshow” which starts filming in Dallas next week. Only 3,400 tickets were available, and they’ve all been doled out already. Three Dallas shows will air next year, but it looks like appraisers are going to focus on vintage marionettes, antique flags and fine silver.

Mark L. Walberg
Next Saturday, June 28, host Mark L. Walberg will be at the Dallas Convention Center where more than 70 appraisers and antiques dealers from auction houses across the country including Bonhams & Butterfields, Christie’s, Doyle New York, Sotheby’s and Skinner will appraise approximately 10,000 objects.

Appraisal event: June 28, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Dallas Convention Center, 650 S. Griffin St. Sold out — tickets required.
