Bloggers unearth footage of BDSM performer Jeremy Wess, who looks just like HGTV’s ‘Mikey V.’

Something tells me that we haven’t seen the last of Mikey Verdugo or “Mikey V.,” the studly police officer who competed on “Design Star: Nashville.” In episode 6 — a 24-hour kitchen renovation — Mikey’s show got cancelled.

Arguably this season’s sexiest contestant, Verdugo stopped many hearts whenever he appeared onscreen. Fans’ searches on the Internet led to an Oct. 18, 2007 BrowardPalmBeach.com article about Verdugo’s phenomenal success as a rookie detective and the difficulties he faced coming out as a gay cop.

But this week, porn bloggers made a positive identification. It looks like Verdugo had another screen credit under his belt — as “Jeremy Wess,” star of “Rope Rituals” and “Classics Vol. 2” ($59.99). Tom “Ropes” McGurk, who’s known as the “king of reality hardcore bondage,” made both videos.

Jeremy Wess’ scenes were supposedly shot in 1996. Wess has tattoos on both arms. And often featured on “Design Star,” Verdugo’s arms are now half-sleeves of tattoos. But GayPornBlog.com really did their research and found a photo on Sun-Sentinel.com that shows Verdugo in a boxing match from May 17, 2002 having the exact same shoulder tattoo as Wess.

Should this newsflash tarnish Verdugo’s cred? Hopefully not. He seems like a decent cop and a talented designer. And judging by the free XTube clips on GayPornBlog.com and BillInExile.com, Wess was a hardworking BDSM performer.

As of press time, publicists for HGTV didn’t return calls to confirm nor deny Verdugo’s porn career.
