No sooner did Suzanne Westenhoefer leave town does Dallas gets flooded with lots of gay humor.

Biggest among the events is the Gay Up Stand Up Comedy Tour. Queer West Coast comedians Jason Dudey, Shawn Pelofsky and Erin Foley join Texas native son Paul J. Williams in what Williams has joking called “the tornado tour” — Wichita, Kan., Tulsa and Dallas. The foursome’s show, MC’d locally by Cassie Nova, arrives at the Lakewood Theater on Sept. 7, starting at 8 p.m. For tickets, call 214-821-4769.

Steven Jay Crabtree brings his “Dysfunctional Divas” show back to the Pocket Sandwich Theater late-night on Sept. 5 and 6, performing his array of half-a-dozen crazy women. Call 214-821-1860 for tickets.

Mark Carroll presents the Senior Follies musical extravaganza at the Eisemann Center in Richardson Sept. 5–7.

The show plays Sept. 5 and 6 at 8 p.m. and Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 972-744-4650.

Finally, Emmy-winning TV star Wayne Brady brings his comedy to the Meyerson, kicking off the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Pop Series. He performs Aug. 29 and 30 at 8 p.m. Call 214-692-0203 for tickets.
