@ Robert Schlein,

While I'm not sure about Reid's motives they're probably anti-LGBT. But, the two Democratic Senators from Arkansas would never support DADT repeal. Even this silly compromise-repeal never had enough votes. Reid knew that and simply wanted to make republicans look "anti-immigrant" as well as "anti-LGBT.

He succeeded, we lost. This November it will be 1994 all over again.

Enough Republicans would have supported NDAA which included repeal on it's own. LET ME BE CLEAR that Sen Harry Reid WANTED THIS TO FAIL. He knew adding DREAM and limiting debate and amendments would be so toxic that he would even lose two of his own members. Reid is a disgusting man who exploits the desires of our community and the Hispanics. He had no intent to pass anything but wants to tell you that he is working on your behalf for your donations and votes. .

All the lobbying, all the protests, all the calls, all the emails and still we don't have the 60 votes. Not a single senator changed their mind or vote on the DADT Repeal issue. Not one.

You have been wasting you time, money and effort. Even HRC with $550 million and 30 years, has never changed a single vote in the US Senate. Not one.

Polling determines how a politicians votes, especially when it is a moral issue.

Gay Inc. will now be soliciting donations to "keep up the fight," along with carnival clowns GetEQUAL. Save your money, we can't win be demanding or begging - we need to change our strategy. That's coming soon. In the meantime, talk to neighbors, friends, co-workers or even strangers. That actually helps.

@ Gay republicans

Please get your fact straight.

1. Harry Reid voted with the senate republican because this is the only way he can bring it back for a revote.
"Reid ultimately voted against moving forward with the bill, but his vote was a procedural move that will allow him to bring it back up for a re-vote, presumably during the lame duck session."

2. Obama can use EO to repeal DADT. The next social conservative president can also use EO to reverse Obama's EO. All the out and proud soldiers will be lame duck then. it's been discussed and explained numerous time.

@Gay Republican, please do not toy with my rights. Voting for ANYONE (Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Green Party etc.) who does not support full equality for all is just plain wrong. When we protest for equal rights, we are protesting you as well. You spit in the faces of those you claim you love within your own community when you vote with a mass that only wants to hurt and oppress you. I call for a Don't Ask Don't Tell policy for Gay Republicans. Please do not tell me or anyone that you are gay, and I certainly will not ask, because I most certainly do not want to associate with you.

I get so tired of people saying Republicans this and that, but at least they are honest and upfront about the support or non-support of gay issues, where these Democrats like Harry Reid and Blanch Lincoln tell you what you want to hear so you vote for them, and then stab you in the back. Since Obama can use an executive order and repeal it anyway, lets just see how "gay friendly" he is. My bet is that he WON'T use that power, and in my opinion that is worse than any action those gay hating Republicans could ever do. And folks as a Gay Republican, I can tell you that most Republicans are more Libertarian in nature than hardcore bible thumping conservative.
