Thieves get just more than $500 cash, but do more than $6,000 damage to club’s ATM, games
Burglars broke into Bill’s Hideaway on Buena Vista Street on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at about 4:30 a.m., according to the Dallas Police Department.
The burglars entered the club’s back bar by breaking the glass in a door, said Oak Lawn community police officer Keith Allen.
The burglars made off with only about $550 in cash from an ATM machine and the gaming machines, according to the officer.
But they caused about $6,900 in damages in the process, he said.
Most of the damage was to leased equipment, Allen said.
Another burglary reportedly occurred at the bar late last year during which sound equipment was stolen.
