Celebrate with an 'Obama Momma' — and find an Inauguration daddy — on Cedar Springs

Last week we printed an extensive list of Inauguration parties scheduled for tonight, but we left out the most obvious LGBT destination: the Cedar Springs strip.
The strip has been decked out in red, white and blue since Monday, and Scott Whittall, owner of Buli Café and president of the Cedar Springs Merchants Association, said many of the bars will be replaying the Inauguration on their video screens tonight.
Whittall said he expects things to get cranked up around 7, when some of the retailers will begin offering Inauguration Day specials. Bars are expected to extend happy hour throughout the night and some will offer “Obama Mommas,” a special drink in honor of our new commander-in-chief, Whittall said.
