China Daily, the English language newspaper published in Hong Kong, reports “China’s first gay couple, who openly ‘got married’ on Jan 3, want more understanding from society and hope to get an official marriage certificate, the Beijing News reported today.”

With 1¼  billion people, China probably has more than one gay couple. The report is taken from a Chinese language report in Beijing News, so they might have actually meant the first gay Chinese couple to wed. Zeng was previously married and has a daughter. He was divorced last year. Pan is a former soldier.

From other reports: The couple, Zeng Anquan and Pan Wenjie, married in a bar in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Although 200 guests attended, none of the couple’s relatives were there.

Same-sex marriage is not legal in China but reports indicate that scholars are pushing to change the marriage law which currently specifies a union between a man and a woman.

Well, China at least has the advantage that you can’t argue they need to block gay marriage because it would discourage procreation.

If China is foolish enough to follow in the immoral footsteps of America, then they too will perish. God will curse any nation that tolerates homosexuality.

If only God would curse you.
But don’t be offended. After all, you just said God hates about 7% of the entire world’s population. So surely, you can’t be too upset if I’ve just offended you.

You’d think since they are a Communist country and everyone is “supposed” to be on equal ground, then marriage should be equal for all too, no?

God does not hate *anybody*. He loves us all, including the communist Chinese lesbians.

  6. China Daily doesn’t report that they have a lesbian. Just one gay couple.
