Closing arguments set to begin in Oak Lawn hate crime trial

It’s 11 a.m. Wednesday, and both the prosecution and defense have rested in the trial of Bobby Jack Singleton, accused of beating and robbing Jimmy Lee Dean in Oak Lawn last July. The defense didn’t call any witnesses. Closing arguments are set to begin momentarily, meaning we could have a verdict and/or sentence this afternoon. Stay tuned to Instant Tea for updates.
