Last week was actually Negroni Week. But we missed it. Oops.
So, to make up for it, we decided to post a recipe, created by mixologist Matt Ragan of Victor Tangos, that puts a twist on the classic Negroni (gin, Campari, sweet vermouth) with his own style which he calls Mind on My Money (we didn’t ask — bartenders are weird).
1 oz. Smith and Cross Navy Strength Rum
1 oz. Aperol
1 oz. sweet vermouth (housemade strawberry flavor in his case; good luck repeating it).
Making it: Stir ingredients together with ice and pour into a lowball. Express orange oils over top and garnish with an orange twist.
