Employees from the Plano office of Intuit, a California-based developer of tax preparation and financial software, work to stock the shelves of Resource Center Dallas’ food pantry after the company made a large donation recently to the pantry. Nearly two dozen Intuit employees were on hand to stock shelves and assist with the center’s hot meals program on Wednesday, May 20 after the company’s Plano office held a contest to collect food for the pantry and donated more than 5,300 canned goods and non-perishable items. It was the largest donation ever by any corporate organization in the history of the pantry. Intuit and its employees also donated more than $2,900 to the pantry, which serves more than 800 clients with HIV/AIDS four days a week.
