Creating Change draws record crowd

ngltf_logoCreating Change is the annual conference staged by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. The conference is taking place this weekend at the Sheraton Downtown in Denver.

Lots of people from Dallas are in Denver for the conference. I ran into Cece Cox on the floor of the exhibit hall soon after I got here.

Dallas is well represented at the booths as well. Brite Divinity School has a booth proudly exhibiting the Rev. Steve Sprinkle’s book, Unfinished Lives. I spoke to the Rev. Jim Mitulski at the Brite booth. He sends regards to all his friends at Cathedral of Hope.

I met someone from SAGE who will be going to this week’s White House conference ¬†on aging and the LGBT community and whom I quoted in a story this week.

That’s a lot of what Creating Change is about: meeting people from around the country who are working locally and nationally to make our communities better.
