Dallas Observer's Robert Wilonsky not reading Instant Tea

Earlier this week I alluded to tensions within the gay community caused by the race between Clinton and Obama. Comes now this story from the Washington Blade, which quotes our own District Clerk Gary Fitzsimmons, an Obama supporter. Here’s what Fitzsimmons told The Blade:

“There is a small core of angry people on both sides who say things they obviously regret later,” said Gary Fitzsimmons, the openly gay Dallas County, Texas, clerk, co-founder of the Stonewall Democrats of Dallas and an Obama campaign worker.

“But most people know this is a debate within the Democratic Party and they will unite behind the nominee, whichever one of the two it turns out to be,” Fitzsimmons said.

This topic also has been picked up by The Dallas Observer’s Unfair Park blog, so more is sure to come. Of course, the post by Robert Wilonsky (pictured above) fails to mention that this whole thing was hashed out on Instant Tea 48 hours ago.

In the comments section of my previous post on this subject, Fitzsimmons and others from Stonewall seemed to play nice, but I’m not sure that’s reflective of what’s going on behind the scenes.

UPDATE: Wilonsky has kindly updated Unfair Park to include a mention of my post. Thanks, Bob.
