Dallas Voice Day proclamation

Dallas City Councilmember Angela Hunt, whose District 14 seat represents a large part of the Oak Lawn area, including the area near Uptown in which the Dallas Voice offices are located, and Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, right, on Wednesday presented Dallas Voice owner/publisher Robert Moore, center, with a proclamation declaring Friday, May 22 as Dallas Voice Day, in honor of the LGBT newspaper’s 25th anniversary. Moore and two business partners — Don Ritz and William Marberry — started Dallas Voice in May 1984.
