Vivian K. “Bear” Hanks, 57, died March 11 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Hanks was born in Pecos, Texas. She had lived in Dallas for about 40 years.
She worked in the printing business for 37 years as a four-color stripper.
She is survived by Sandra Coker, her partner of 20 years.
She is also survived by her mother, Leona Hanks, of Dallas and two sisters and two brothers.
“She passed on to the hands of the Lord and will be in his care,” Coker said.
“She will truly be missed by numerous friends she has left behind.”
