I am impressed that Mr. Leppert remembered that he was the Mayor of ALL of Dallas, not just the factions or demographics he might have agreed with! THAT was his job, as Mayor. Certainly, as others who came before him, he had the same option to opt out, but didn’t.

When a person is elected by “some of the people”, they still must represent “ALL of the people” . . . not just the ones you might have a history of agreeing with. It appears that the majority of Mr. Leppert’s opponents in this political contest didn’t get that memo!

I voted for Laura Miller because I actually saw her dancing the two-step at the Round-Up. I thought “well if she wants our votes THAT bad” I will vote for her.
