Gay softball, extra innings

If I had received this note, which just arrived in my Inbox, I probably would have thought Jaymee Johnson was dead, too. Johnson is the former recruiting coordinator who recently admitted to misappropriating money from Dallas’ gay softball league. Here is the full text of the e-mail that was sent by Johnson’s sister-in-law to his ex-boyfriend. This e-mail is the one that started the false rumor that Johnson had died:

“Jaymee is gone to a better place. Please respect the family’s wishes and leave it all alone. He is not hurting anymore and is in a place where no one, including himself, can hurt him any longer. May god bless him and maygod bless you. In this time of mourning and sorrow please understand that the family has no desire to have any drama created so please out of respect for my husband, for Jolene, and for Judy, please just leave it all alone. He is gone.”
