The thing about GLD is, it’s not really offering much that’s new, exciting or gay. And if it’s only to catch a sassy comment about the Fair hot dogs, then I think my inbox can do without it.

At first, I thought it was going to promote gay and gay-friendly stuff around town but instead, it merely lists stuff that has just appeared in the newspaper already (a la today’s review of Sorbeteria Dallas that was in last week’s Quick) or some uninspired novelty that needed to be typed up before deadline (like the desperate preview piece early last month - Boring Weekend Disorder).

Really?

With the Guide, Pegasus, Observer and Voice, it’s already hard to list something new, but it just seems like if he’s going to snag a gay niche, that it would be a bit more inspired than merely adding pink and sass all around something we’ve already heard before. Surprise! A Sex and the City movie item. Didn’t see that coming! Nope. Not. At. All.

Now tell me something I don’t know.
