Dallas Voice all over June edition of newsletter about gay newspapers
June 2nd, 2008At the risk of being accused of self-promotion, I should note that Dallas Voice is all over the June edition of Press Pass Q, which bills itself as “a newsletter for the gay and lesbian press professional.”
First, DV Publisher Robert Moore and Senior Editor Tammye Nash are quoted in a story about Philadelphia Gay News Publisher Mark Segal. If you’ll remember, Segal was behind the decision to print a blank space next to an interview with Sen. Hillary Clinton after Sen. Barack Obama snubbed the newspaper. Of course, Segal had previously contributed $1,000 to Clinton’s campaign.
Also, yours truly is quoted in a story about the controversy involving openly gay Plano City Council candidate Justin Nichols, which made for an interesting study in gay politics and journalism.
