DMN blog post not very ‘truth-friendly’

As you can see, Mayor Leppert isn’t the least bit afraid to shake hands with the gays.

Dave Levinthal, a City Hall reporter with The Dallas Morning News, has declared on his blog that Instant Tea’s baby mama, Dallas Voice, has declared that Mayor Tom Leppert is “gay-friendly.” While it’s good to know that Levinthal is reading the local “fag rag,” his statement isn’t accurate. LGBT activists like Patti Fink, president of the Dallas Gay and Lesbian Alliance, have said that based on his first year in office, THEY now believe Leppert is “gay-friendly.” You can read about that here. Unlike some newspapers, the Voice does its best to report the news objectively. Instant Tea, on the other hand, has been known to be slightly more opinionated. So does Instant Tea think Leppert is “gay-friendly?” Well, to borrow a phrase from the mayor himself, we s’pose it depends on what the definition is.
