David H. couldn’t be more wrong. Look at that BOD — these are cronies who put one of their ideological own in that CEO job — the Cinemark company is not your friend. If they were, they’d have donated to an overturn Prop. 8 group to make amends for their CEO and signal that he is not speaking for the company with his donation. They have not. Instead, they’ve put out responses referring to “sexual preference” that signal that they’re on the side of those who would deny us civil marriage equality on the excuse that they believe our sexual orientation to be a choice. (Not that sexual orientation genus should matter when the subject is equal access to a fundamental right, mind you!)

Being good little girls and boys will not save us. War was declared against us long ago and the fight is now on. Either help lead it, follow and help, or get the heck outta the way.

He’s not a random bigot working for the company. He’s the CEO. This boycott should be followed by anyone who cares about protecting marriage and families. Follow the example of Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and Mahatma Gandhi; don’t fund the people attacking the constitution and the concept of equality before the law.

I gotta agree with David on this one. Boycotting the whole company for the CEO’s action is probably not going to accomplish much of anything. Why not go after the big guns who were behind Prop. 8 instead of a peripheral player.

No thanks, Boycotting a company for the act of one guy is a dumb idea. We need to bring people to our cause not run them off with stupid stunts like this. IMO
