Observer sports columnist reveals gay brother
November 14th, 2008Dallas Observer sports columnist Richie Whitt reveals publicly that he has a gay brother in this blog post about hockey player Sean Avery. Whitt says that just as Avery is different from most professional athletes, gays are different than straights, but not inferior to them. Whitt also alludes to the ongoing controversy involving Senior Pastor Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Church of Dallas. The post is definitely worth a read, although the use of the word “faggot” without quotations in the headline is questionable.
