It’s always fun to read stories online about incidents that occur in Oak Lawn, because regardless of the subject matter, there are bound to be a few bad jokes in the comments alluding to the fact that it’s the traditional gay neighborhood. This item from The Dallas Morning News about a robbery this morning on Hawthorne Avenue is no exception. The intruders who broke into the home found a man and a woman upstairs in bed, but the man escaped to the roof during the robbery to seek help. Here’s today’s winning comment, courtesy of “Newsdude”:

“The intruders went upstairs and found a man and woman in bed…in Oaklawn…now that’s news.”
