The Oscars nominations will be announced in a few minutes, and I’m gonna weigh in on my predictions:

Best picture: “Milk,” “Slumdog Millionaire,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Frost/Nixon” and “The Dark Knight.” 

Best director: Gus Van Sant, “Milk,” Dany Boyle, “Slumdog Millionaire,” David Fincher, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” Ron Howard, “Frost/Nixon” and Mike Leigh, “Happy Go Lucky.”

Best actor: Sean Penn, Mickey Rourke, Frank Langella, Dustin Hoffman, Richard Jenkins.

Best actress: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie, Sally Hawkins.

Best supporting actor: Heath Ledger, James Brolin, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robert Downey Jr., Eddie Marsan.

Best supporting actress: Taraji P. Henson, Amy Adams, Viola Davis, Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz.
