Michael,
I'm pretty sure my previous point was clear. They aren't forcing you or me or anyone to do anything. You don't have to shove quarters into their machine, and they aren't shoving anything back.
And as far as their heart being in their pocketbook, isn't that the basis of capitalism? I'm pretty sure I don't mind their ulterior motives, as long as they make money and look good doing it. Take a look at the economy and the major things wrong with this country before you whine about something so menial.

Maeghi, darling you need to wake up. A company only gets that big because you and I shove quarters into the machine. I don't want them shoving anything other than their product into my body. So when they get a little smaller...you'll see where their heart really is....in their pocketbook!!!

Rich,

Pepsi is a multimillion dollar company with the rights to do as they please.

If you don't like what it has done for the LGBT community, please don't drink their product.

Thanks.

Positive spin? Why is it "about time" we have MORE homosexual people in programming.
Be fair - what's the real percentage of homosexual people in the world? That is the amount of homosexual people we ought to see in programming.
And why not a good reality show dealing with all of the downside of the homosexual lifestyle.
The heartbreak of sdd's etc . . .
Hey Pepsi - just sell soda. Stay out of the polical and socail stuff and you will do well even in a tight ecconomy.

The guy came out to his friends, I think it's a positive spin on a funny concept. Glad Pepsi UK has a sense of humor. Besides, it's about time we see more gay and lesbian characters in ads as well as in programing.

Perhaps I wasn’t clear. The commercial is silly. But giving $1 million to LGBT organizations and refusing to give in to the American Family Association’s pressure not to be supportive of the LGBT community is what makes Pepsi worth supporting.

The two friends are shocked and grossed-out their friend is hitting on a guy. How is that "supporting the community"? The humor is at the expense of the gay community.
