Gay man remembers hanging with Bush at White House

In a Vanity Fair web exclusive, C. Brian “Smitty” Smith recounts being invited by his friend, first daughter Barbara Bush, to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave … pulling up to The White House with half a joint in his pocket and beer in his trunk.
Openly gay, Smith does an incredible job capturing details about his conflicting emotions of hanging with G.W.B. — especailly after 9/11.
