Gay voice on the faith-based advisory board

April 6th, 2009

The Human Rights Foundation has just announced that Harry Knox, director of religion and faith issues for the foundation, has been asked to join President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, an interfaith council of religious and secular leaders and scholars.

The council will 25 members, each of whom is appointed to a one-year term. The president signed an executive order on Feb. 5 to establish the new White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, created to allow religious and community leaders to make policy recommendations to the president’s Cabinet secretaries and each of the 11 agency offices for faith-based and neighborhood partnerships, according to the HRC press release announcing Knox’s appointment.

The president has come under fire in the LGBT community recently for meeting with and asking for input from religious leaders, including some folks like Dallas’ Bishop T.D. Jakes whom many consider to be very anti-gay.

Faith based White house is anything but faith based. It is simply a ploy by those in the White house to make it appear Christians support all these other religious zealot which are not faith based. Obama words alone do not make him Christian. Many will claim to know Christ or have done things in his name but He will tell them that He never knew them.
Using religion has become common place in America for getting votes. Once elected God is ignored. Baby killer Obama with his homosexual policies might sit well with those which say it does not matter in the eyes of God. I for one can attest to the word of God and they will pay a heavy price for disobedience.
The Christian walk does not allow for us to out guess our God and to make our own rules because we believe they are right. God never changes but man does and without repentence you must live with your choice to ignore the word of God.

Good God! Can’t we block these religious nuts from posting and report them to the FBI? This is the perfect example of hate speech used to limit a woman’s reproductive rights, equality for all, President Obama and America. I do not believe there is a God or Bible that espouses “they will pay a heavy price for disobedience.”

Read Norm’s post and hear an example of the ignorant and fearful that believe there’s a gay agenda and a government plot to redefine a God of many names.

    Norm,

    You sir, are an idiot.
