Who would choose it? I would. There is nothing that I find attractive about the heterosexual lifestyle. Nothing.

I find the idea "who would choose it" to be quite insulting. As if being gay or lesbian or transgender or bi is somehow less good but something we're stuck with. Yes, I was born this way. No, I wouldn't have it any other way.

lso, if being gay was a "choice", wouldn't gay people hence "choose" NOT to be gay??? I mean, if it's a voluntary choice. Those of you who think it's a choice, and then add insult to injury with your phony "we include you" B.S., are Morons.

All women have some level of desire to lick other women, some men are gay, some are not. Religion should not exist in any form, and no one should get married to anyone or anything else, regardless of what they most enjoy having sex with. Marriage doesn't work, and religion is evil.

That's my opinion, you don't have to agree with it, or like it, and I won't force you to. Even though it wasn't my intent, I was fully aware that my opinion probably offends everyone. Oh well, most people's opinions offend me, and no one cares, so why should I hide my opinions when no one would do the same for me.

I think the Mormons fear those alien probes. Well no law is going to stop them, so be scared, very scared.

I am not shocked about this but I am proud of the way Marie herself, is handling it. Great statements and wonderful the way she is supporting Jess. I am laughing at the one comment above about the way "Marie was abusive to some fans in Vegas" NOW for the many of us that have met her many many times over the years that is a LAUGH!!!! First in commen sense even putting aside how wonderful she is, why would she be "abusive" to anyone right where she works? It is probably the same sad tale of someone that was stalking her while with the kids or when she was rushing in to her show, and was told that Marie didn't have the time right now (Imagine a woman with a career and kids being busy?) Marie goes WAY out of her way to treat her fans kindly, in fact ofter stays much longer than expected to see everyone that came to see her. Often times she will stop everything because she wasn't looking at a camera or whatever so that fan has a good photo and not just, "oh well you got your pic, too bad!" NEVER. So I beleive the Globe facts before that of the person above who was obviously at the wrong place at the wrong time, or was abusive to Marie herself. THAT I have seen. People expecting her to be "on" at all times. Again, woman with eight kids, has her own life and a huge thriving career. Imagine, busy? LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get a life people, Marie is wonderful.

Thnaks for the response Tammye. I had two points in my response that perhaps I didn't separate clearly.

1. Daniel's blog gave credence to the Globe tabloid report, the main point of which has subsequently been proven false. Marie Osmond is not hearbroken over her daughter. Instead of asking for a comment about the article, which led to his blog, he simply recommended it by virtue of writing about it. To me, that's irresponsible. It's spreading information about a tabloid that isn't true.

2. The blog post focused on Jessica, a young non-celebrity who has never attempted to get press attention, seemingly only to attack her uncle and her family's church. I find that disturbing. If the article were about something substantive like a young lesbian woman's relationship with her Mormon mother and the difficulties involved (and if the young woman agreed to be interviewed), that would be enlightening. But, it wasn't. I was a big picture of Jessica, with the headline "Yo, Mormons!" and a large quote from her uncle, followed by a snarky comment about him. The blog used a young woman to attack a religion and her family. I don't think this is right.

To your question about facts. Yes, Marie Osmond's daughter is lesbian - as has been known by Marie's friends and fans for years. However, Jessica herself and others close to her have commented on several websites about this story, noting that she has not been in a relationship for a year. Also, since Marie's daughter lived with her until just six months ago (based on Dancing with the Stars packages in 2007 and interviews when Marie moved to Las Vegas), she could not have lived in LA with anyone for three years.

Finally, the "back in December" statement surprised me from Donny, since it was around the time of the Prop 8 issue and I was told by a fan who met him then that he stated clearly he would not be making any public statements or getting involved. In fact, I just googled the quote and it was written in 2003, in response to a question submitted on his website. I found it word for word. I could find no other public comments, since 2003, on this issue. I'm not surprised, since the rumors about Jessica began around 2005. But, I could be wrong. I suppose he could have reissued this quote. If there is a statement from Donny, to be honest, I wouldn't be totally shocked. He seems more conservative than Marie. However, I *would* be shocked if he made any anti-gay marriage comments, given his niece.

So, I have a larger big-picture issue about using tabloids as sources and distributing their stories on your blogs, particularly when focused on non-celebrities. Then, there's the decision not to contact anyone involved for their real opinions before reprinting, with Donny info added, some of the Globe story. Contacting people involved would have, I think, created doubts about the Globe story, and maybe altered the blog. Unless the idea was simply to attack an entire religion and Donny.

Yes, I'm a Donny & Marie fan. I also support gay-marriage rights, and I'm not Mormon (I find many of their beliefs very odd). But, I think those who write blogs on the internet should remember that they are responsible for what they write and how it affects their subjects.

Hey Daniel,

Before you make a big deal out of old news, may serve you better to pick up a news paper and get caught up on events. This is OLD news!!!!!!

Oh yeah, you may also want to check your names fact list as well. His name is DONNY. Little things like that, kinda shoots credibility. It all sensationalism at best.

Marie and Donny have never put down, defamed nor insulted any person who chooses to live their particular life style. They have always shown respect to others. Do the same and show respect for their choices.
