The good news is that the surgeon only had to perform a quadruple instead of a quintuple bypass. Jack is now in ICU. They let us in for five minutes to see him, but then we had to leave as visiting hours are over until 8:30. During the five minutes we got to spend with him, he was completely out of it and not at all alert, however, he did move his hand and it looked like he tried to open his eyes. Knowing Jack, he was trying to let us know that he's there and that he knew we were there. They plan on weaning him off the respirator tonight (Jack will be thrilled as that was his biggest concern).
