@Tisha: I would be willing to bet that AI makes the contestants agree to steer clear of commenting on controversial topics, especially ones involving politics and/or religion, at this point in the competition. And I would also be willing to bet the contestants are not anxious to possibly torpedo their chances of winning by pissing off some of their fans or potential fans.
Although, on the news this morning they were doing a segment on AI and I did hear Adam say something about one of the songs he sang being an anthem of the civil rights movement, and one reason he chose it was because there are still other civil rights movements going on now. The way he said it made it clear, at least in my mind, that he was talking about the LGBT civil rights movement.

My boyfriend can't stand Adam and he prefers Kris. I think Kris, as cute as he is, sounds too much like the Top 40 artists we've been listening to for the last 5 years. At least Adam has the (vocal) versatility to start a song as Steven Tyler and end it as Jennifer Hudson. Of course, Adam will probably have a long career as a Broadway superstar (I can see him playing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar).

It really doesn't matter who wins tonight, as both of them are guaranteed an equal chance at success.

Well don't expect Adam to jump on the anti-Prop 8 bandwagon. TMZ asked him about his thoughts on the Prejean disaster. He said he's been in the AI bubble and didn't know what the cameraman was talking about. Either AI does keep their contestants locked up in a crate and only let them out for photo ops and performances or he's avoiding the question and playing dumb.

So far all the demographics seems to have been covered save for the Gay Winner. Plus, it's so perfect timing with the Prop 8 stuff and all. And by perfect timing I mean he'll prolly win because the producers will make it so whilst leading everyone to believe their vote counted.

Or maybe I'm just being cynical. Admittedly, I've never watched Idol. But Family Guy is about to come on. Cya!
