It's great to read all the good wishes and support coming from FW as well as many far-flung places. Whether or the choice of date was deliberate or coincidental, there is a sense that the LGBT community has reason to make itself known as defenders, not cowering wimps. And to "ProPolice", whoever you are, go crawl back into the sewer you came from.........

Chad Gibson is a sweetheart and in the years that I have known him, he has never, nor have I ever witnessed him "grope" anyone as implied by the accuser(s). I also don't understand where it was stated that FWPD and the TABC were raiding bars/clubs that routinely over serve patrons... How could Rainbow Lounge do that when they were just open for the 2nd night since opening? These departments were probably over reacting and fueled up from the previous arrests they had just made and then decided to raid the gay establishment as intimidation... and on the anniversary of Stonewall? How could they not know that on this date, it was the anniversary? Unfortunate for Chad that he was the one who got seriously hurt but it leaves me pondering the question as too, who is on our (Gay Community) side when it comes, "To Protect and Serve?" My only answer is that we as the gay community must standup and "Protect and Serve" our own. We as human beings and members of the DFW community do deserve the same rights and treatment as any other human being does that lives in this country. I hope that the full investigations conducted will bring forth the truth and bring those responsible for these actions to justice. But then again, if what happened lessens our trust in our public servants, then how are we to believe and trust that any wrongdoings or investigation will be conducted fairly and with equal justice? My heart goes out to Chad and his family during this time of what seems to have been unjustifiable circumstance. We love you Chad and are praying for your speedy recovery <3

I agree with Charles... Is TABC going to cover Chad's bills??? they said he was in their custody and I belive that would make them responsable for his bills.. We have to pay for the care of jail house and state prisoner since THEY ARE IN THE CARE OF THE STATE and now it looks like TABC IS NOW PART OF THE STATE POLICE AS BY WEARING A VEST THAT STATES THAT. OR WE CAN CALL THEM WHAT THEY ARE .GASTOPO!!!!

You know, there is another victim here too that required medical attention, Mr. Anderson. I'm wondering if the two TABC officers present also assaulted him with no assistance from FW PD, or if they were assaulting two people at the same time.

I'm shocked! (sarcasm)
We need to get the entire LGBT community together with our FABULOUS allies and march together through Sundace Square to the Courthouse and where ever else we want to, in front of all available media so they can see who we are. We can do great things when the entire community comes together and I believe this is the time to do it. We have a man down (Chad) and this should be a wakeup call to members of the LGBT community around the country that all we are getting are scraps of pitty from the government and we are still not viewed as equal and "socially acceptable"! Would someone PLEASE get a rally/march/protest going in Fort Worth? There is someone out there who can organize this and IT IS TIME!!!

So now it was was all TABC's fault according to Halstead?

Really? Because the earlier published photo shows him being by 4 officers, one with nothing but his bloody gloves visible, one clearly in a FWPD uniform and two in tan uniforms of the TABC. There were only 2 TABC officers there.

And earlier it was said by Chief Halstead that the victim injured himself outside, since the timeframe between arrest and the Ambulance being called, why were two TABC officers outside detaining him immediately after the raid and not inside the bar conducting/participating/overseeing a raid that took place under their authority?

Funny that the TABC charter does not mention arresting patrons of bars and forcibly throwing them to the floor? There mission is to regulate the liquor trade and the establishment selling it, not the patrons, or perhaps I am being to narrow in my interpretation of their charter.
