The Cliks’ Lucas Silveira covers Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’
December 18th, 2009Last we heard, The Cliks had broken up leaving lead singer Lucas Silveira to fend for himself. And that was some major bad timing. Morgan Doctor and Jen Benton left the band soon after this year’s release Dirty King (which may or may not be in my end-of-the-year lists coming up). But Silveira has bounced back with a new lineup including Tobi Parks and Brian Viglione, formerly with the Dresden Dolls. The Cliks performed a couple of shows last week and by the looks of this, the new lineup is working. Not a bad rebound.
Penetration Inc. posted this video of Silveira taking Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” to a whole new level. I must say, as a fan of the original, this acoustic version is some friggin’ sweetness.

Hey Kia:
what is that supposed to mean? any comment on lucas’ cover other than a sexist remark about
gender. the ignorance just kills me… this is a beautiful cover and amazingly conveys the emotion in ms gaga’s lyrics
