Over the weekend in Knoxville, Tenn., a gunman began shooting patrons of a church during a children’s production of “Annie.” The parish was a member of the Unitarian-Universalist Church, which is known for its liberal views, including support for gay rights — this congregation included.

Now comes word the city’s chief of police says the shooter’s motivation was a hatred for liberals.

Lovely. I’m keeping my office door closed from now on. 

I’m sure there are some people out there who think Dallas Voice had no business printing the story about the $2,000 that was misappropriated from the Pegasus Slowpitch Softball Association. However, when you consider that the roughly 400 members of the league reportedly pay about $75 each to play, plus $450 per team, I don’t think we had much of a choice. Besides, as one might expect from a gay sports league, there seems to be plenty of drama involved here. I mean, you should see some of the e-mails we’ve been getting! Stay tuned.
