Late-night talk show host Jay Leno pissed off a lot of folks a month or so ago when he asked Ryan Phillippe, who had played a gay teen on the soap opera “One Life to Live,” to show the Tonight Show audience his “gayest look.”
Now Leno is making nice, according to E! Online, by deciding to appear at a rally tonight (Wednesday), in West Hollywood in support of same-sex marriage and against the ballot amendment that would reverse the recent California Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage in the Golden State.
Leon’s rep said that Leno is from Massachusetts, and the sky did not fall there when gay people started marrying each other, and the sky won’t fall in California either.
Gay actor T.R. Knight and Judy Shepard, mother of Matthew Shepard, will be there, too.
