Legacy of Success Foundation will hosts its Annual Linen Brunch benefiting the Hazel Hatcher Scholarship Fund at Creative Events on Aug. 25 at 11 a.m.

This year’s recipient of the scholarship fund will be named at the brunch.

The event will feature a silent auction of items that include a 20-inch Motorola TV and roundtrip tickets to anywhere Southwest Airlines flies.

Vocalist Lisa Pierce, accompanied by Linny Nash and the Network Band, will perform. The food will be prepared by Chef Toni.

David Lewis, codirector of the foundation, said that helping a student finance their education is one of the most beneficial ways to help society.

“It’s always easy to want to support an individual or a cause when there has been a major disaster, but it’s an even greater sense of responsibility to want to support a child who wants the benefit of having a good college education,” Lewis said.

“Our youth especially the African- American LGBT youth need all the support we can offer.”

Tickets are currently on sale for $35 and can be purchased by contacting Lewis at 214-762-3061 or any other Legacy of Success Foundation member.

Creative Events is located at 1333B Oak Lawn Ave.
