Promise MCC to host service marking World AIDS Day on Sunday
Promise Metropolitan Community Church, 2527 W. Colorado Blvd., will host a World AIDS Day service with the theme " Remembrance and Hope" on Sunday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m.

The program is free and open to everyone. An offering will be taken.

The service will feature special music and guests from several churches.

Promise is a member church of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, celebrating this year its 40th year in ministry to the LGBT community.

Urban Dog Coffee, Legacy Counseling Center present ‘Santa Can’ days
Urban Dog Coffee, 2720 Oak Lawn Ave., Suite A, is joining with Legacy Counseling Center to present "Santa Can" Days, with 7 percent of the profit from sales at the store from Dec. 1 through Dec. 6 going to Legacy Founders Cottage.

The "Santa Can" will also be available through the month of December at Urban Dog Coffee, where items such as paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, twin sheets, adult non-pull-up diapers, trash sacks, laundry detergent and grocery store gift cards can be dropped of to donate to Legacy.

Donations will be accepted Dec. 1-6 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Legacy will also hold a volunteer fair for those interested in volunteering at the Legacy Founders Cottage, a hospice for people with HIV and AIDS, on Dec. 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Urban Dog.

Kimpton Hotels to host cocktail party benefitting DIFFA on Dec. 3
Kimpton Hotels will host its second annual signature cocktail party and auction to benefit the Dallas chapter of the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hotel Palomar Residence Tower, 5300 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 304.

Admission is $10 and covers complimentary food and drink.
Cocktails created by the award-winning Central 214 bartenders will be available throughout the month of December.

Boys4Toys presents 10th annual toy drive Dec. 6 at Excuses Extreme Cafe
Boys4Toys holds its 10th annual "Toys in Boyland" toy drive and dance party Saturday, Dec. 6 at Excuses Extreme Café (formerly Club One).

Award-winning DJ Roland Belmares will headline the event, which has a theme this year of "Planet Toy."

Tickets are $20 with an unwrapped toy or $40 without a toy.

Boys4Toys is a not-for-profit organization operated by volunteers.
