North Texas GLBT Chamber to hold 2nd anniversary dinner

National Gay & Lesbian Chamber president to be keynote speaker; President’s Award, Business Excellence Award to be announced

The North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2nd Anniversary & Business Excellence and Awards Dinner on Monday at the Westin City Center in Dallas, at 650 N. Pearl Street.

The event will begin with registration and networking at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.

Justin Nelson, president of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, will be the keynote speaker.

In addition to a special President’s Award, Business Excellence Awards will be given for Corporate Ally, Business of the Year, Community Service and Volunteer of the Year.

The chamber has also launched its new Web site, www.GLBTChamber.org. The Web site will allow access to membership data, online dues renewal and discount event registration.

“It’s been a while since we’ve gotten everybody in the same room so we’re hoping to enlighten them about the new Web site and the new benefits that are coming,” Chamber President Sherry Briggs said.
