It’s always fun to check out the Newseum Web site on history-making news days like today, when most papers led with stories about Sen. Barack Obama clinching the Democratic presidential nomination.
On the Newseum site, you can see how 636 newspapers from across the country played the story and the headline. My favorite is The Anniston (Ala.) Star, which simply said, “Finally.” Most papers appeared to use headlines saying something along the lines of, “Obama clinches.” But others clearly hedged since Clinton hasn’t conceded the race.
Obama clinches but Hillary doesn't concede, or how about just 'Finally'
