A teacher in Grandfield, Okla., has been fired after she showed high school students “The Laramie Project,” a film about murdered gay college student Matthew Shepard, USA Today reports here. Grandfield is just on the other side of Wichita Falls, about 165 miles northwest of Dallas.

I am surprised at the firing. A lot of Americans are ignorant hayseeds who rather believe in god and their guns and consider gays subhuman. Some day science will prove them wrong; not that they will then change their minds. As all people they will eventually die out and this country can then proceed into the 21st or 22nd Century. Let’s hope it does not take that long.

This again shows the rotten moral standards of the US. This country has lost any respect in the world and has no right to lecture other countries about human rights. No big difference between the USA and Iran, the same stubborn clerics, the same killing lunatics. It is really disgusting.
