One-woman show “O’Keeffe!” plays this weekend at Theatre Too

We’re big fans here of Carolyn Wickwire. The local actress plays everything from doyennes to bag ladies (like in the recently closed Superior Donuts). And she’s a risk-taker — for her 75th birthday on New Year’s Eve, she jumped out of an airplane. (I was there. It was cool!)

This weekend, she’s pairing up with another of our favorite ol’ broads, Ouida White, for the one-woman show O’Keeffe! Ouida directs, and Carolyn portrays the painter and feminist icon (and, like me, a U.Va. alum) Georgia O’Keeffe. Indeed, they were preparing the show during the run of Donuts, and it’ll be in the same space … though only for four performances this weekend: Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m., plus a Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m.

For tickets and more information, visit the website or call the Theatre Too box office, 214-871-3300.
