Hootie is a hound-Rottweiler mix. He’s just under a year old, lively and loves to romp and play. He’s good with most other dogs and has an outgoing personality.
Heaven Leigh is a 2-year-old, shorthaired brown tabby. She’s a talkative kitty who’s very friendly and seems to be good with other cats.
Hootie, Heaven Leigh and lots of other cats, kittens, dogs and puppies are available for adoption from the Dallas Animal Services Adoption Center, located at 1818 N. Westmoreland at I-30, just minutes west of Downtown Dallas. The shelter is open 7 days a week: Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The cost to adopt is $85 for dogs and $55 for cats and includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip and more.
