And Mr. Harcourt’s interpretation of the Tih Man was probably one of the most astounding, bittersweet and humorous one I’ve seen yet, out of every version of this Broadway classic that I’ve seen over the years—National Tours, the 1978 film version (Nipsey Russel in the role) and the original Broadway version back in 1976. I was just a kid when I first saw this show on Broadway and always thought the Tih Man’s costume was the most eye-catching. Of course the costume has seen many incarnations in many versions of this show over the years, but kudos to Sydney Harcourt for having “The Heart” (no pun intended here) to be able to deal with and survive such an intense experience with that costume and makeup. I hope to see him in more roles locally here in Dallas in the future and best of luck to him in his next role in San Diego..
