Rational Radio to go online only

Rational Radio, which broadcasts locally on 1360 AM and streams over the Internet at RationalRadio.org, has apparently lost its bid to lease the bandwidth. Therefore, effective Jan. 1, 2010, the BROADCAST arm of the station will go away, and the content will be available exclusively through its streaming site.

All the shows — including The Rick and R.J. Radio Show and Big Dick Hunter’s show — will continue on the Web with the expcetion of the The Jack E. Jett Show. Jack informed me that he’s decided to concentrate on his burgeoning new venture, Radio ilume, and has a possible syndication deal in the wings.

What does all this mean? Well, for me personally, it means I will probably be the last BROADCAST guest on Rick & R.J. — I’ll be talking about the year in movies from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27.
